Do you ship to military addresses?

Yes, but sending stuff to military addresses (like APO, and FPO) isn't the same as your everyday shipping. It starts with the US Postal Service dropping your package into the military mail system. Once that happens, we can't track it anymore.

There are some special rules if you're sending stuff to military post offices overseas. If your package gets stuck because it breaks any rules, we can't help out with extra costs or get your package back. So you'll need to deal with that on your own.

Here's a quick guide on how to write an address for overseas military mail:

  1. Who's getting the package? You don't have to put their military rank or anything like that.
  2. You need the recipient's Postal Service Center (PSC), Community Mail Room (CMR), Unit Mail Room (UMR), Regional Post Office (RPO), Army Post Office (APO), or Official Mail Distribution Center (OMDC) number.
  3. Don't worry about adding the specific military group they're with (like "1/20 24th Infantry").
  4. If you're sending it to a Navy or Coast Guard ship, put the ship's name and hull number instead of a PSC number.
  5. If they've got a Military Post Office Box number, add that.
  6. Don't put the street address of the embassy or job title if it's a Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) address.
  7. Write the APO and "state" sign (like AA, AP, AE). But don't use the state where the main hub is (like FL, CA, or NY) 'cause it might slow things down.
  8. Make sure you've got the right ZIP Code. If you know the ZIP+4, even better.
  9. If your package might burst open while it's being shipped, it's a good idea to put a card inside with your and the recipient's addresses and what's in the box.

Here's how a few examples addresses might look:

For an Army Post Office:
GEN Omar Bradley
PSC 1234, Box 12345
APO AE 09204-1234

For a Fleet Post Office:
CAPT John Paul Jones
USS Cochrane (DDG-21)
FPO AP 96543-1234

For a Diplomatic Post Office:
John Adams
Unit 8400, Box 0000
DPO, AE, 09498-0048
